South Toms River EMS offers several membership opportunities for adults and juveniles. For adults over the age of 18 we have a regular membership and an auxiliary membership. Adult members obtain first responder certifications and ride on the ambulance with EMT's and assist as needed. New members are required to attend EMT school within one year of joining the squad. If answering first aid calls is not for you we offer an auxiliary membership with our agency. Auxiliary members will assist squad members at fundraiser and other public events that they are needed. In addition to adult memberships our agency has a cadet corp. To become a  Cadet, you must be in High School and between the ages of 16-18. This is the perfect opportunity for students who are eager to learn about the medical field to gain hands on experience while gaining community service hours.
